Lowcomote is an international project involving 15 PhD students (Early Stage Researchers, ESR), investigating various facets of the recent, yet increasingly important notion of low-code development platforms. The project, funded by the EU, provides thesis supervision as well as trainings and workshops in the fields of model-driven engineering, cloud computing, and machine learning. In the frame of this program, IncQuery Labs is hosting Benedek Horváth, who is investigating live model transformations for distributed low-code platforms.
The first Lowcomote networking event was organized at the beginning of 2019. Since then, there has been a series of workshops. As a follow-up event to the April workshop, the 6th networking event was organized online last week, when ESRs received trainings on project self-assessment and industrial careers. On Wednesday, a research workshop was organized featuring heterogeneous low-code engineering tools in Industry 4.0.
During this public workshop, our colleague, Géza Kulcsár gave a talk entitled "Analyzing the Digital Thread: The IncQuery Suite in industry and in research". In this talk, Géza overviewed the IncQuery Suite, our scalable engineering data analysis platform, and how it tackles the interoperability issues of data silos, combining them in a holistic digital thread. The talk gave a gentle introduction to the main components (IncQuery Server; IncQuery Desktop; IncQuery Model Viewer; and IncQuery Model Analyzer), and described case studies of both industrial and research-oriented application scenarios.
